What are the trenches?
When I was trying to come up with the name of this blog, I had to think about what it is we are trying to do. In our staff strategy meeting, we had decided we that we want to take you into the interworking of what we do both as a local online marketing agency and a marketing management platform provider (try saying that 5 times fast); to give you practical, down-to-earth insight into where all the work is done and share with you all of the gritty (but sometimes fun) details of how we do it, including real examples and stories. This is why I decided that the only fitting name would be In the Trenches.
So who is this blog for?
It’s for you:
- The marketing agency owner wanting to become a local expert for your customers.
- The franchisor who needs help building their franchise and finding the right marketing for their franchisees.
- The small business owner that is trying to launch their new Smoothie/Health Food store in an area of the US that has never even heard of an ‘acai bowl’.

Built for Local Marketing
You see, at Adplorer we not only provide an online marketing management platform for agencies to help them scale, optimize, and manage their business, but we also provide small business owners and franchise owners with agency solutions to help them build awareness and drive new leads. Our approach, whether for the marketing agency in California or the carpet cleaning business owner in Florida, is to get you results and keep it as simple and transparent as possible.
For example, when we first start working with a new business owner, oftentimes they tell us that they are overwhelmed by the everything of online marketing—what platforms to advertise on, how to set up a campaign, where to optimize for results, and my favorite, how much is this gonna cost me? If you are an agency owner, I am sure you have been there/done that.
That’s why, when I have them on the phone and they bring up these concerns, I like to calm them down by explaining they can simplify their online marketing as having 2 goals:
- Building Awareness
- Generating Leads
I tell them that any marketing they do, online or otherwise, needs to work towards one or both of these goals. Then I show them what we can do to achieve these goals.
Through these blogs, we think you’ll learn about what it takes to achieve both of these goals and therefore help you and/or your clients get new customers, increase your sales, and maximize the bottom line…because that’s what marketing is all about, right?
